Funded/Fee Based Activities

A.H.S. Student Activities Overview

Athletics - sports are above and beyond the regular school day, are experience and competitive in nature and build socialization.  These activities are not evaluated and do not relate to the student's GPA. Athletic activities are both funded in the current school year budget and have a fee required.  You can see the list of included athletics at the link to the left.

Extracurricular Activities - these activities listed are above and beyond the regular school day, are experience in nature and build socialization.  These activities are not evaluated and do not relate to the student's GPA.  Some of these activities are funded in the current school year budget, all have a fee required.  You can see the list of included Extracurricular activities at the link to the left.

Merit Based Activities - the activities included are based on admission criteria including academics, character and service.  Students must complete an application process which includes a careful review of their academic, discipline and service records.  Students are accepted into these clubs/organizations based on merit.  Activities are funded in the current school year budget.  You can see the list of included Merit Based activities at the link to the left.

Performance Based Activities - activities that result in grades that effect a student's GPA.  These are performance based classes held during the school day with some activities after school hours.  These activities are assessed and count towards the student's overall grade.  You can see the list of included Performance Based activities at the link to the left.
