At just 23 years old, Gonzalez Camaren patented a chromoscopic adapter with which black and white cameras of the day could capture color. He was born in Guada, Mexico on February 17,1917, the youngest of 7 children. He graduated from the  National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico with a degree in Electrical Engineering. His invention gained attention when NASA used it aboard the Voyager to take pictures and video of Jupiter.
