Scholarships

October 2019

  • Rolling Thunder New Jersey Chapter 2 Scholarship. Must be a child of a military member, veteran, or fallen soldier.  Proof of relationship required.  Must write an essay.  Application must be mailed and received no later than March 31, 2020.
  • WACE National Co-op Scholarship Program. Merit co-op scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors who plan to participate in college cooperative education from one of their Partner Institutions.  Application and list of Partner Institutions can be found on their website. Each participating college has specific deadlines for applying, so pay close attention to specifics on their website.
  • Miss Saint Patrick 2020 Scholarship. Must be a single or  never married women of American Citizenship and Irish Ancestry between the ages of 17 and 21, and a resident of Mercer County.  Must also be attending a college in NJ and have a parent, grandparent, or sponsor of a member in good standing of one of the Mercer County Organizations.  Deadline for entry is Saturday, November 30, 2019 @ 4PM.

November 2019

  • The Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship.  Must be a minority high school senior, attending an accredited, approved, 4- year institution. Must also demonstrate financial need and community service. Deadline for entry is February 1, 2020, at 5 pm.

December 2019

  • AT&T InspirASIAN Scholarship Must be a full-time graduating high school senior in good academic standing (unweighted GPA of 3.4 or higher, of any ethnic or cultural background, who plan to attend an accredited 2 or 4-year university in Fall 2020.  Deadline for entry is January 31, 2020 at 11:59 PM.?
  • CrazyGames Annual Worldwide Scholarship
  • Must be a graduating high school senior (rising freshman),  and be prepared to present a game prototype, an essay related to games, an overview of game development technologies, etc.  Deadline for entry is December 29, 2019.

January 2020

  • NJ Mosquito Control Association.
  • Must be a full-time high school student in good standing, and have an interest in engaging in studies that benefit the mosquito control community.  The applicant must have a family member or sponsor who is active in the NJ Mosquito Control Association.  Deadline for entry is February 1, 2020, no later than 5pm.
  • Elevate Mental Health Awareness Scholarship.  Must be a high school student who has personally experienced mental health challenges or have had people close to you experience mental health challenges.  Must write an essay. Deadline for entry is April 1, 2020.
  • High School Social Leaders Bi-Annual Scholarship.  Must be a high school student planning on pursuing higher education.  Must be actively involved in organizations working to solve key issues.  Must write an essay.  Deadline for entry is March 28, 2020.
  • BerkshireBank Next Gen Scholar.  Must be a high school student planning to attend a 2 or 4 year college or technical school, with a minimum GPA of a 3.0.  Must live in a county which BershireBank services (Mercer or Middlesex). Deadline for entry is January 31, 2020 at 11:59pm.  
  • Ocean Chapter of Drifters Scholarship Luncheon offers scholarships to deserving African American High School Seniors of Monmouth and Ocean counties.  For application and more information, come to the guidance office.  Applications must be received by January 25, 2020.
  • Monmouth County Alumnae Chapter Delta Sigma Sorority.  Must be enrolled as a graduating senior (2020) in a Monmouth or Ocean County High School.  Must plan to attend an accredited, 2 or 4-year degree granting college or university and have a minimum academic average of a B on a 4.0 scale.  For application and more information, come to the guidance office. Applications must be postmarked by February 14, 2020.
  • The GracedByGrit Foundation Scholarship Fund.  Must be a high school senior who is a female athlete with a minimum 3.0 GPA.  Must write an essay.  Deadline for entry is March 15, 2020.
  • ERA Central Realty EDGE Scholarship.  Must be a high school senior from New Jersey with a minimum 2.5 GPA, and pursuing a bachelor's degree.  The scholarships will be awarded to students who demonstrate ethical, forward thinking,  results-oriented life and work habits.  Deadline for entry is April 3, 2020.
  • Polish Arts Club of Trenton Scholarship.  Only high school seniors of Polish descent that will be attending college next year are eligible.  Awards are based on academic excellence, character, and financial need.  Applications are due by February 20, 2020.
  • New Jersey Utilities Association Scholarships for New Jersey high school seniors who meet the eligibility criteria.  Requirements for eligibility, selection criteria and application forms can be found on the Associations website.  Submit the required materials postmarked by April 11, 2020.
  • NJ Sharing Network Scholarships for New Jersey high school seniors. Must be an organ and tissue donation awareness advocate or personally affected by, or a  family member of, someone personally affected by organ and tissue donation and transplantation.Requirements for eligibility and application can be found on the website.  Complete application must be mailed and received by Friday, March 20, 2020 at noon.
  • Console & Associates Attorneys At Law Legal Scholarship.  Open to any college -accepted high school senior with a 3.0 GPA or higher and who plans on pursuing a law related degree.  Requirements for eligibility can be found on the website.  Application deadline is June 15, 2020.
  • 2020 oxyGEN Scholarship Program.  Applicants must be enrolled in a 2- or 4-year undergraduate program within the US for the 2020-2021 school year.  Must demonstrate a passion for a STEM topic, but are not required to be pursuing a degree in a STEM field.  Application deadline is February 28, 2020 at 11:59 pm.
  • CentraState Associated Auxiliary Scholarships.  Offered to graduating high school seniors who are pursuing a healthcare field.  Must submit transcripts, two letters of recommendation and an essay.  Full requirements for eligibility can be found on their website.  Click on the auxiliary scholarship. Application deadline is May 1, 2020.  
  • Career Development Awards Scholarship. For high school seniors who are enrolled in a 2-year training program in the technical and vocation professions of their choice.  Come to the guidance office for the application and details.  Application must be postmarked by March 29, 2020.
  • OceanFirst Scholarship.  Offered to high school seniors who will be attending one of the following: Brookdale Community College, Ocean County College, Rowan College of New Jersey Cumberland Campus, Atlantic Cape Community College, Georgian Court University, Monmouth University, Rowan University, or Stockton University.  Applicant must also have a 3.0GPA and live in the OceanFirst footprint.  See the application for specific details.  Your application must be received by May 1, 2020.  This deadline has been extended to July 1, 2020.
  • Italian American Association of Monmouth County.  For college bound graduating senior with an academic average of a 3.0 GPA.  Applicant must also be a resident of Monmouth County and be a US citizen of Italian descent.  Recipient of the scholarship is required to attend IAA Scholarship Awards Ceremony on June  24, 2020. For application and further details, come to the guidance office.  Application due by May 15, 2020.
  • Monmouth County Master Gardener Association Howard Bodner  Memorial Scholarship Applicant must reside in Monmouth County and be accepted to a college or university for the fall of 2020. Applicant must plan to major in Horticulture, Botany/Plant Biology, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Planning and Design,  or Agricultural related fields.  Application deadline is April 15, 2020. 
  • Tzu Chi USA Scholarship. Student must be a US high school graduating senior, enrolled in an accredited US college full-time.  Applicant must have a 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need.  See the application for specific details.  Application due by March 6, 2020.

February 2020

  • Jersey Coast Shark Anglers Scholarship Award.  Students must be within the Ocean County or Monmouth County public school system.  Intended major in college must lead to a degree in Marine Sciences, Marine Biology, Oceanography, or related Environmental Sciences.  See application for further details.  Application deadline is April 15, 2020.
  • New Jersey State Golf Association Caddie Scholarship. Students must have Golf Club's Caddie Manager attest to eligibility including Golf Club's financial support of the program.  Application is evaluated for academic record and financial need.  See the application for specific details.  Application due by March 1, 2020.
  • The National Italian American Foundation. Must be a member of NIAF or have parent, grandparent or guardian as a member.  Student must be going to an accredited institution of higher education for the Fall 2020 semester and have a GPA of a 3.5 out of 4.  See application for further details. Application due by March 1, 2020.
  • Society of Exploration Geophysicists.  Must be a student who is attending college next year and is planning to pursue a college curriculum directed toward a career in applied geophysics.  See application for further details.  Application due by March 1, 2020.
  • Microsoft disAbility Scholarship.  Must be a current high school senior living with a disAbility (as defined by WHO), whether that be visual, hearing, mobility, cognitive, speech, or other disability. Plan to attend an undergraduate program in a 2- or 4-year University/College or Technical College in the fall following graduation. Must be pursuing an approved major in engineering, computer science, computer information systems, law, business, or a related field.  See application for further details.  Application due by March 1, 2020.
  • American Chemical Society.  Must be African American/Black, Hispanic/Latino, or American Indian, and intend to major in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, chemical technology, or another chemical related science.  Must also demonstrate high academic achievement in chemistry or science.  See application for all details.  Application due by March 1, 2020.
  • Beyond the Boroughs Scholarship.  Must be accepted into a four-year college, university, or equivalent, have a GPA of 2.5 or higher and have a low family income.  See application for all details.  Application due by March 15, 2020.
  • Beyond the Cure Ambassador Scholarship For College Aged Survivors of Childhood Cancer. Must be a childhood cancer survivor under the age of 25 and diagnosed before the age of 18. Must also be attending an accredited post-secondary school in the Fall of 2020 and have a minimum 2.5 GPA.  Application due by March 31, 2020. 
  • 2020 Porch Skilled Trade and Technology Scholarships.  Must be 18 years old, a high school senior, with a 3.4 GPA, and planning to pursue a degree that enables you to learn a new trade , develop skills and technology, or start a small business related to home services offered by Porch.  Application due by April 16, 2020. 
  • Monmouth County Curriculum Consortium 2020 Student Scholarship. Must be a high school senior, accepted to a college, university, or CTE program. Application includes a high school verification form and an essay.  See application for all details.  Due by midnight March 1, 2020.
  • Hearing Loss Association of America 2020 Scholarship. Must be a high school senior with hearing loss who lives in New Jersey, and is continuing education in the Fall of 2020.  Application consists of letters of reference and an essay.  See application for other specific details.  Application due by May 1, 2020.
  • Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, St. Bridget's Division 4, Catherine Dean Community Service Scholarship. Must be a high school senior, a resident of Monmouth County, and enrolling in a 2- or 4-year college or university in 2020.  Applicant must have a strong commitment to community service.  Application includes an essay.  Come to the guidance office for the application and further details.  Application must be postmarked by April 30, 2020.

March 2020

  • Jon M. Pritch Memorial Scholarship.  Must play on high school golf team and be attending an accredited college or university.  Must obtain a letter of recommendation from a golf pro where most of your golf is played.  Application includes an essay and a signature from high school golf coach.  Come to guidance office for further information and application.  Application must be received by June 1, 2020 by 5 pm.
  • Daughters of Penelope Annual Scholarship.  Available to any senior who is a son or daughter of a steward in good standing at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Hamilton, NJ.  Come to guidance for further information.  Applications are due by May 1, 2020. 
  • Give Back Foundation Scholarship application. Must have at least a 2.5 GPA, and be accepted into a college or university.  Must write an essay and show documentation verifying community service.  Come to guidance office for further information.  Application must be received before May 15, 2020.
  • Cinderella's Closet of Monmouth County.  Must be a high school senior who demonstrates strong values, commitment and motivation to pursue a college or vocational education.  Please email your counselor for a copy of the application.  Applications are due to the organization by April 30, 2020.  
  • New Jersey Education Association Arete Scholarship Fund.  Students must be seniors who demonstrate New Jersey pride, and must demonstrate qualities such as academic engagement, moral character, and commitment to their communities.  They must distinguish themselves as New Jerseyans who are on their way to realizing their dreams.  See application for further details.  Application deadline is April 1, 2020.
  • 2020 Ted Engberg Wildlife Conservation Scholarship.  Students must be Monmouth County residents who are graduating high school in 2020.  They must be accepted to a 4-year college or university for the Fall of 2020, and be majoring in a wildlife conservation field (biology, botany, forestry, environmental studies, teacher/naturalist etc.).  See application for further details.  Application deadline is May 1, 2020 due to an extension.
